Proud sponsor of Live Well Ascension! Lots of cancer screenings were done today at the Jambalaya Park in Gonzales. Early detection is key for survivorship. Special thanks to Jamie & Darla Rye for cooking & providing the delicious jambalaya to all attending and volunteering for this worthy event.

APSB Dress-Down Day

Gonzales Area Foundation partnered with Ascension Parish Schools to raise cancer awareness and donations for Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center in Gonzales through “dress down days.” Chaired by committee member, Debbie Babin, GAF collected approximately $10,000 by the end of 2023 from dress-down days held in the first semester of the 2022-23 school year. Generous donations by the staff and students of Ascension Parish Schools assist GAF in funding the annual cancer screenings by Mary Bird Perkins as well as the Thrive Survivorship program. A HUGE THANK YOU to Ascension Parish Schools for their continued generosity and support in fighting cancer in Ascension Parish.
